At Godson Foundation, we believe every act of kindness should be handled with care, honesty and responsibility. This policy explains how donations are used and how to contact us about payment issues or refund requests.
1. Who receives your donation?
Public-facing name: Godson Foundation
Legal name of donation recipient: Godson Foundation
Email: hello@godsonfoundationindia.org
Phone: +91-9591217968
Correspondence address: No 8, 3rd Cross, GS Palya Road, Electronics City, Bangalore, Bangalore South, Karnataka, India, 560100
2. How your donation is used
Your contribution supports our work to provide meals, child nutrition, food for street animals, ration kits, menstrual-care essentials and other published welfare activities.
Donations may also support reasonable costs necessary to deliver our work, including purchasing supplies, transportation, distribution, payment processing, record-keeping and programme administration.
If you select a particular cause, we will make reasonable efforts to use your contribution for that cause. If it becomes impractical to do so, or the immediate need has already been met, we may use the funds for a closely related welfare activity consistent with your intended purpose.
Amounts and descriptions shown on our website indicate the support a contribution is intended to help provide. Actual costs may vary by location, availability and need. We will not claim that a particular outcome has occurred unless we have a reasonable basis for that claim.
3. Donation confirmation and receipts
After a successful payment, a confirmation may be sent to the email address or phone number you provide. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us with your transaction details so we can check the payment status.
A payment confirmation or donation receipt does not automatically mean that the contribution qualifies for a tax deduction. We will state that a donation is eligible for a tax benefit only where the applicable approval is in force and the claim is legally supported.
4. When can a refund be requested?
Donations are voluntary contributions. Once a successful donation has been allocated or used for welfare activities, it is generally not refundable.
However, you may contact us to request a review in the following situations:
- Duplicate payment: You were charged more than once for the same intended donation.
- Incorrect amount: You were charged an amount different from the amount you intended to contribute.
- Failed transaction: Your account was debited, but the payment was marked as failed or the donation was not confirmed.
- Unauthorised payment: You believe a payment was made without your permission.
- Mistaken donation: You made a donation by mistake and contact us within seven calendar days of the transaction. We will review the request, including whether the funds have already been committed or used.
Refunds are not automatic. Each request will be reviewed based on the payment records, circumstances and applicable requirements.
5. How to request a refund
Email hello@godsonfoundationindia.org with the subject line “Donation Refund Request”.
Please include:
- Your name and registered email address.
- Donation date and amount.
- Payment or transaction ID, if available.
- Bank reference or UTR number, if available.
- A brief explanation of the issue.
Please do not send your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, passwords or banking login details.
We aim to review refund requests within four business days. If a refund is approved, we will initiate it within three business days of approval, subject to payment-provider requirements. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to credit the amount.
Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method. We will not knowingly send a refund to an unrelated third-party account.
6. Failed payments and bank reversals
If your bank account has been debited but the payment status shows “Failed” or “Pending,” please contact us with the transaction details. We will check the available payment records and coordinate with the payment provider where necessary.
The reversal timeline may depend on your bank, payment provider and applicable payment-system rules. If the amount has not been reversed within the timeframe advised by your bank or payment provider, please contact us again so we can follow up.
If you suspect an unauthorised transaction, contact your bank or payment provider immediately as well as notifying us.
7. Recurring donations
If recurring donations are available and you have authorised a recurring payment, you may request cancellation using the cancellation method shown with that payment option or by emailing hello@godsonfoundationindia.org with the subject “Cancel Recurring Donation.”
Please make your request at least three business days before the next scheduled debit to allow time for processing. We will confirm the status of your request. A cancellation stops future payments once processed; it does not automatically refund earlier successful donations. A request received too close to the next debit may not prevent that debit.
